WordPress Integration
Connect your WordPress site to WinSearch and publish AI-optimized content directly to your blog.
Prerequisites
- WordPress 5.0 or higher
- Administrator access to your WordPress site
- WinSearch account with CMS integration enabled
1Generate Application Password
WordPress uses Application Passwords for API authentication:
- Log in to your WordPress admin panel
- Go to Users → Profile
- Scroll to Application Passwords
- Enter "WinSearch" as the application name
- Click Add New Application Password
- Copy the generated password (you won't see it again)
2Connect in WinSearch
- Open WinSearch and go to Settings → Integrations
- Click Add WordPress Site
- Enter your WordPress site URL
- Enter your WordPress username
- Paste the Application Password
- Click Connect
Tip: Make sure your WordPress site has the REST API enabled (it's on by default in modern WordPress installations).
3Configure Field Mapping
Map WinSearch content fields to your WordPress post structure:
- Title → Post Title
- Content → Post Content
- Meta Description → Yoast/SEO Meta (if available)
- Featured Image → Featured Image
- Categories → Post Categories
Publishing Content
Once connected, you can publish content from WinSearch:
- Create or generate an article in WinSearch
- Click Publish to CMS
- Select your WordPress site
- Choose Draft or Published status
- Click Publish
Troubleshooting
Connection failed?
- Verify your site URL includes
https:// - Check that Application Passwords are enabled
- Ensure your user has editor or administrator role
- Confirm REST API is accessible at
yoursite.com/wp-json/
